Introduction
The BS Software Engineering program at Chenab University of Science and Technology is designed to produce highly skilled professionals capable of developing reliable, efficient, and scalable software systems. In today’s rapidly evolving digital world, software plays a critical role across various sectors including education, healthcare, communication, finance, manufacturing, transportation, agriculture, and smart technologies. The global demand for software solutions continues to grow, making software engineering one of the most dynamic and high-impact fields.
Software Engineering is a systematic and disciplined approach to the design, development, operation, and maintenance of software systems. This program equips students with the technical expertise and practical skills required to build modern software applications by applying engineering principles, industry standards, and best practices.
The curriculum covers the complete software development life cycle, including requirement analysis, system design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Students gain hands-on experience through programming labs, real-world projects, and collaborative assignments, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet industry demands.
The program focuses on developing problem-solving abilities, logical thinking, and innovation, enabling students to design complex software systems that are efficient, secure, and user-friendly. Eligibility Criteria:
- Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) with Pre-Medical or equivalent with 50% marks
- SCET recognized/valid aptitude test (NAT / ECAT).
Documents to be submitted:
A candidate, who is eligible for admission, must submit attested copies of the following documents:
- SSC or equivalent foreign qualification certificate (Two copies).
- HSSC or an equivalent foreign qualification certificate (Two copies).
- SSC Result Card (Two copies)
- HSSC Result Card (Two copies)
- CNIC/Form B of the candidate (Two copies).
- CNIC of Father/Spouse/Guardian (one copy).
- Eight Recent Passport Size color Photographs.
- Photocopy of Domicile.

- It does not include the final year project, examination fees, and any traveling fees.
- All documents / transcripts will be checked at the time of admission.
- Any incorrect/false information submitted by the applicant or any attempt to hide information will lead to disqualification of the candidate.
