Message From HOD Civil Engineering Department

I feel great pleasure to write this message for both faculty and students.

In brief, it is Civil Engineering that provides the Aesthetic view to the world to make it glorious. Without Civil Engineers, it is too difficult for the world to flourish in any respect. At SCET, the Civil Engineering department is imparting best engineering as well technical education and also provide each facility to the students to activate them and create among them skillness for various jobs, where they can effectively serve. At present the learned faculty members are trying their best to bring innovation and new methods in teaching the modern courses so as to create proper learning skills among the students. In addition to academic, non-curricular activities and visits of giant projects- Debates, quizzes, all sorts of sports- 15 day survey camp at Abbottabad, internet facility may supports the academic system in a best way.

Currently we have signed MOU between academia and industry liaison according to this, students in free time or vacations will get a field/job training in respected institution or industry. This will help the outgoing students to acquire job easily.

At the end, I must stress that the various projects like CPEC-Gawadar port, Development of Karachi and other big cities, new fast Railway lines- multi story buildings, Water resources management (Dams), Shelter for poor people, Strategies for up gradation of life style of downtrodden people needs to be started in country. Improvement in education and health will bring job opportunities for Civil Engineers.
