Introduction
The BS Cyber Security program at Chenab University of Science and Technology is designed to develop highly skilled professionals capable of protecting digital systems, networks, and information assets in an increasingly interconnected world. The program focuses on understanding the processes that impact information security, including safeguarding data, identifying vulnerabilities, and ensuring the integrity of digital systems.
Students are equipped with a strong foundation in computer science, which forms the core of cybersecurity expertise. The curriculum emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical application, with extensive hands-on training through laboratory exercises, simulations, and real-world case studies. Students learn how to collect and preserve digital evidence, analyze cyber threats, and implement effective security solutions.
This state-of-the-art program integrates modern technologies with real-world scenarios, preparing graduates for immediate entry into the industry. It covers a wide range of specialized areas, enabling students to develop expertise in domains such as network security, digital forensics, information security, information assurance, secure software development, vulnerability assessment, and reverse engineering.
The program is structured over four years (eight semesters) and is designed to meet the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals in both national and international markets. Graduates are well-prepared to pursue careers in IT security, digital forensics, cybersecurity consulting, and advanced research.
Eligibility Criteria:
- FA/FSc/ICS/I.Com with any one of the following subjects: Computer Science / Statistics / Economics / Mathematics / Physics / Commerce, DAE, A-Level or equivalent with 50% marks
- SCET recognized / valid aptitude test (NAT / ECAT).
Documents to be submitted:
A candidate, who is eligible for admission, must submit attested copies of the following documents:
- SSC or equivalent foreign qualification certificate (Two copies).
- HSSC or an equivalent foreign qualification certificate (Two copies).
- SSC Result Card (Two copies)
- HSSC Result Card (Two copies)
- CNIC/Form B of the candidate (Two copies).
- CNIC of Father/Spouse/Guardian (one copy).
- Eight Recent Passport Size color Photographs.
- Photocopy of Domicile.
NOTE:
- It does not include the final year project, examination fees, and any traveling fees.
- All documents / transcripts will be checked at the time of admission.
- Any incorrect/false information submitted by the applicant or any attempt to hide information will lead to disqualification of the candidate.
