Engr. Sohail Ali Naqvi, Director Freshwater programme at WWF-Pakistan visited Civil Engineering Department at Chenab University Of Science and Technology Rahim yar Khan (SCET-RYK) to discuss the collaboration in the ongoing project of “Alliance or Water Stewardship” at Rahim yar Khan and for their future projects in the South Punjab region.
Engr. Dr. Muhammad Rizwan (Associate Professor and Head of Department, Civil Engineering Chenab University Of Science and Technology, Rahim yar Khan) welcomed Engr. Sohail Ali Naqvi and his team in HoD office and briefed him about the history of Swedish group of colleges, engineering and other programs at SCET-RYK. Engr. Dr. Rizwan had a fruitful discussion with Engr. Sohail and both decided to work together for water resources management under the scenario of changing climate. Engr. Sohail also assured that WWF-Pakistan will try to engage 4-5 students from Civil Engineering Department of SCET-RYK as internee in their ongoing water related projects.
At the end, Engr. Sohail (WWF-Pakistan) visited the labs of the Civil Engineering Department and other facilities at Chenab University and appreciated that in this remote area of South Punjab, the Chenab University is providing state of the art labs and other facilities to its students.
